Located in the southern part of the region, each year the Cave du Haut Poitou produces white wines, Sauvignon and Chardonnay, and red wines, Gamay, Cabernet and Pinot Noir, which all carry the AOVDQS Label.

 With its modern equipment and the help of oenologists from Burgundy and Bordeaux, the Cave du Haut Poitou produces 80 % of all Haut Poitou wine.

Vintages : Surprenante, Aromante, Désirante. The Haut Poitou Vineyard has been listed with the AOVDQS (Appellation d'Origine, Vin Délimité de Qualité Supérieure) Quality Label since October 1970. With its surface area of 430 ha it crosses more than 40 local towns. You can find this wine storehouse by following the Haut Poitou Wine Trial which will permit you to meet local wine growers and producers as you discover the riches and fine produce of the area.
