This rural area owned by the city of Poitiers, 7 km from the city centre, is a recreation centre which respects the natural character of the site. There are two separate sections one wild and the other not, in this 248 hectare park. The wild part is for walks with 8km of paths through an essentially oak and horse chestnut planted forest. The other part has a 5 hectare zoo, a holiday activity centre for school children (capacity 400), outdoor swimming pools (open June - September ) a pony club, play areas, picnic areas, a rock garden, lakes (one of which may be fished in every weekend from June to September).
