The Moncontour Outdoor Recreation Centre offers numerous activities around a 10 ha lake: swimming around a supervised beach, waterslides, children's playground, fitness trail, miniature golf, ball ground for playing petanque, skate boarding ramps, beach volley, tennis courts, multisports grounds and fishing. You can also try out cable water skiing and other water sports, all in a pleasant environment.

On-site: 4 star campsite, 10 wooden chalets with 2 chalets wheelchair accessible. There is also a snack bar restaurant and picnic area . The village nearby has self-catering accomodation, and a hotel.

The region around Montcontour possesses a very rich cultural heritage. Among its hidden treasures, the lavoirs (wash-house) trail recall the lively rural life of past times. You can also explore many authentic villages and legendary Medieval sites by taking the walking trails throughout the old Dive marshlands.

Be sure not to miss Moncontour's fortified tower, which played a part in medieval wars.

The Tourist Office organises guided tours of the Dive trail, the fortified tower and cob houses built of mud and straw in Ouzilly-Vignolles. Local Markets : Sundays and every third Saturday of the month.
