Tourism Office of Vivonne

Overlooked by the ruins of the château dating from the12th, 14th, 16th centuries, Vivonne is located at the point where the Clain, Palais and Vonne Rivers converge.

A classified Ville Etape , Vivonne is a veritable fisherman's paradise offering many water recreational sports and activities. In July and August, afternoon boat rentals are available with prior booking. Descents down the Clain can be arranged all year round. The water sports centre (open from June to the end of August) has slide, trampoline and supervised swimming facilities.

Local government has published 18 marked trail guide books available at the tourist information office.

Don't miss: The Angevin Gothic Priory Church of Saint-George (12th & 13th C). Among the many entertainment events in Vivonne, the 'International World Song and Music Festival' is a must see during the Pentecost holiday.

Accommodation : hotel, campsite, self-catering and bed and breakfasts. The tourist information office can organise guided visits of the church by prior reservation.

Local market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
