Tourism Office of Neuville de Poitou

Neuville stands right at the heart of the Haut Poitou Vineyards and their famous grape varieties - Sauvignon, Cabernet, Gamay or Chardonnay, which you can sample in most of the wine cellars of the region.

The Haut Poitou cellars have a centre and store in Neuville which is open all year round.

Neuville is also the capital of scale model construction. Modelespace , one of the best modelling sites in France, organises radio-controlled car, plane and boat races every weekend. Model'Expo, held the first weekend in October, is the European Model Exhibition, with thousands of models and some three hundred and fifty stands. During the week, the site is open for all amateur model makers.

For ten years now, the last weekend in July is the time of the jazz festival "Neuvil' en Jazz" organised jointly by the festival commitee and the Tourist Office.

Don't miss the arboretum and Pierre Levée dolmen.
