In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, flat-bottomed commercial boats called barges passed through the Vienne and Creuse Rivers to transport spices, wines, food and even passengersto the Atlantic Ocean and beyond. The Vienne Boatmen Association brings to life the epic of these sailors on the boat the "Vigeane" .
