The walls inside this 12th century church are decorated with painted murals. The spire rising from the dome of Saint Hilaire, regained its summit in the mid-1980's. The polychrome wooden reredos on the main altar date back from the 17th and 18th centuries. The 17th century wooden statue of Saint Caprais was once carried on pilgrimages in order to pray for rain or nice weather.

Also visit: the Romanesque bridge, the Chaboterie fortified lodging with its two round towers, one of which was used as a dovecot. Nearby :the medieval site of Mirebeau and its museums.
