Built in the 10th century, it is considered one of the oldest religious monuments in Poitou, and pre-Roman Carolingian can be seen on the outside of the church. The church was modified during Roman times, giving it its present shape. The chapels are decorated with geometrical shapes, leaves and animals. Bizarre Roman stoups, and a 16th century Virgin and Child sculpture in polychrome stone. Nearby: Châtellerault - with its Auto-Moto-Bike Museum, architectural heritage and aquatic centre.
