These gardens of medieval inspiration were created progressively from 2001 - 2006. They accentuate the value of the medieval castle from the 15th century. The geometric structure of the gardens recapture the aesthetics and functionality of the end of the Middle Ages. Having created the Orchards, Fruit Gardens, the Little Berry Garden , the Little Forest , different types of flower beds and planting areas, we have built the Hortus Conclusus or enclosed garden which mainly contains the living species stemming from that era: fresh herbs, aromatic and seasoning herbs, medicinal herbs and certain small fruits which have now tend to be forgotten.

Toxic species used for magic and witchcraft are not included in this little Eden, centred around its fountain, equally inspired by medieval times.

An additional area named the Garden of Light presents a collection of annual plant species not only for culinary use but also for textile and dieing purposes. You will certainly discover a number of forgotten vegetables but also types of more exotic but not very well known plants.

We have based our garden on the Middle Ages without forgetting a glance at the present and the future. Of course we have not omitted the numerous species of annual flowers.

The majestic Motte château, a 15th century fortress, set on th e Touraine and Poitou borders, welcomes guests into a luminous and vast area. Guided visit adapted to all ages. 4 guest rooms. Candle-lit dinners are also possible in the château's dining room.

Nearby : water sports centre at Saint Gervais les Trois Clochers, horse riding, hot air balloon rides, Hiking and cycling paths in the surrounding areas. Less than 10 min away: go karting, Aventh'uré ( tree climbing adventure course ), Car-motor-bike Museum, Canoe-kayakking..
