Rurart is a unique cultural centre in an Agricultural College. A centre for contemporary art, in the middle of the countryside between Niort and Poitiers.

Founded in 1995, Rurart presents three exhibitions a year, commissioning works and borrowing from public collections. The multimedia centre is a special place which accesses new technologies. The ECM also organises themed events and invites artists-in-residence. Rurart sponsors approximately 50 projects for cultural development in the rural environment each year.
