Part of the Valley of Frescoes , the monastic church of the Maison Dieu became a chapel when a seminary was opened there. The bell tower and façade with its sculpted frieze date back from the 12th century. During the 19th century, the interior of the chapel was painted with impressive designs which were aimed at young seminarians in preparation of their future calling.
